So I finally broke down and bought a food processor… I’m obsessed! My blender just wasn’t cutting it (pun intended)! At 10pm on a Tuesday I decided it was a good idea to break it in and do a little recipe testing. Here’s what happened:

Ingredients:
- 1 can of garbanzo beans (rinsed)
- 12 oz bag of edamame (cooked and shelled)
- 1/2 cup basil (roughly chopped)
- 1/2 cup parsley (roughly chopped)
- 1 TBSP Tahini sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 cup water (as needed)
- 3-4 teaspoons Ultima Pietra Olive Oil
- Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Directions
- Put garbanzo beans, edamame, basil, parsley, tahini red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper in the food processor and begin processing on low.
- While processing, add lemon juice and olive oil. Process until smooth
- Add water until your hummus is at your desired consistency.
- Serve chilled and enjoy!
